EARTHQUAKE PRECAUTION
| No construction in the world is hundred percent immune to earthquake. The safety from this disaster depends on the magnitude of the earthquake which may takes place. As per BNBC 2020, Dhaka is classified as medium (Zone-2) . This puts Landowner, flat owner and developer in a dilemma, always. As a responsible developer its our responsibility to provide a degree of protection from this natural disaster on which, none of us are having any control. We take following measures for earthquake resistance, which also depends on its magnitude. Earthquake-resistant construction requires that the building be properly grounded and connected through its foundation to the earth. Building on loose sands or clays is to be avoided, since those surfaces can cause excessive movement and non-uniform stresses to develop during an earthquake. Furthermore, if the foundation is too shallow, it will deteriorate, and the structure will be less able to withstand shaking. The foundation should therefore be constructed on firm soil to maintain a structure that settles uniformly under vertical loading |
| 1. Our qualified structural engineers plan for extra share wall at both horizontal & vertical axis, so that earthquake could be resisted and building won’t be facing big problem. 2. Building are designed at 5000 PSI for COLUMN, PILE CAP and Beam, and we ensure this compression strength regularly by PSI testing from MIST. 3. We are using 60Grade Rod for increasing flexibility so that building can get more ductility and reduce brittleness. 4. We have individual site engineer for every land to make sure proper construction as per design. 5. Our In-house engineer are visiting at site regularly and ensure quality construction. |
